On September 26th we'll be hosting our second Building Better Families Seminar. Our speaker this time is Dr. Bob Whiddon Jr. Below is some information about him as well as some reasons why you, even if you're the best parent alive, should attend this seminar.
There are few blessings greater than being a parent. There’s nothing else like it! When your child is born you are given a responsibility that cannot be rivaled by anything else. Overnight you go from expecting mother or father to a caretaker and provider. As the years progress you wear the hat of a referee, cook, friend, confidant, encourager, listener, and more. Every day you make decisions and take action to try and raise your children as best as you possibly can, knowing that one day they will leave home and face the world with all its challenges. Parenting may be rewarding, but it sure has its difficulties. This is why even good parents should attend the Building Better Families Seminar.
It doesn’t matter how good of a parent you think you are, there will still be days where you wonder “what could I have done better?” You will question whether your punishment was too harsh, or not harsh enough. You’ll ask yourself “didn’t I raise my children to be better than this?” There’s nothing wrong with asking these questions, in fact, asking these questions is what makes you a good parent. Good parents are the ones who are always looking to learn and improve. This seminar is for people like you.
