The Power of an Invitation

One of the coolest encounters of Scripture is that of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4). In this section of Scripture, Jesus breaks down social barriers by talking to this woman, this causes her to open up about her life and eventually leads to the revelation that Jesus is the Messiah to come. When she hears this incredible news she goes back to her town and tells everyone to “come, see a man who told me all that I ever did” (John 4:29). Later, we’re told that many in the town believed because of the woman’s testimony. Oh, what power invitation has. Where Are You Going?

"Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Praying for Our Children

At the end of worship service yesterday we called all of the children of the congregation forward to the front so that we could physically pray over them. What We're Studying this Fall

This Sunday begins a new quarter of Bible classes for us. With a new quarter comes new classes and a reminder for why you’re missing out when you skip out on Bible class. Below are the classes our teens and adult groups will be studying on Sundays and Wednesdays. Minor Prophets, Major Message – The Sunday morning adult class will be continuing their study on the Minor Prophets for several weeks into the new quarter. The Old Testament prophets give us a lot of insight into who God is and how He works. Finding Joy – The Sunday morning teen class will be studying the book of Philippians together. The Philippian church had a lot they struggled with, and needed to overcome in order to be joyful.
