Mission Statement

Today, corporations, businesses, even churches have mission statements. That's great. It gives people an idea of the mindset or the focus of the group. As a church, Jesus is central to all that we must do and be. He has given His mission statement for His followers. Matthew records it for us,

"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on the earth, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Mt. 28:18-20).

Simply stated, our mission is to teach people the Gospel, and keep them faithful by teaching until Jesus comes. Paul says it this way in Colossians 1:28 (Phillips Translation),

"So naturally, we proclaim Christ! We warn everyone we meet, and we teach everyone we can, all that we know about Him, so that, if possible, we may bring every man up to his full maturity in Christ Jesus."

Go teach the Gospel, and teach the obedient; to obey all that Jesus said until He comes.
